The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering companies for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to sassa reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area every day. The support place produced for intervention activities a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to permit the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
